I touched on this earlier this week, but recently Andrew and I have been on a bit of a cauliflower kick, sneaking the wildly versatile brassica into our weeknight stir fries, morning porridge pots, and everything in between. Anti-inflammatory and known for its detoxifying properties, while still remaining seasonally abundant and budget accessible, most recently I’ve been adding it to my latest snack time obsession – a super green smoothie whizzed up with ripe banana, vitamin rich (yet palatably neutral) zucchini, fiber and protein rich hemp seeds, and almond. A seemingly bizarre combination I can’t stop sipping, I love how this smoothie is nutritively balanced and also subtly sweet and wonderfully rich and creamy without leaving me overly full. Best as a midday snack or exercise pick-me-up, I serve mine fresh from the blender, extra thick.
