This past weekend Andrew and I had the opportunity to explore Washington, DC’s MommyCon – a nationwide convention series dedicated to fostering a community of parents and parents-to-be in celebration of natural parenting. Comprised of full day educational panels and workshops as well as showcase hall filled to the brim with baby-centric exhibitors, the experience was not only immersive and comprehensive, but an incredible introduction into the wide variety of product options available for every type of parenting style and home. Shopping for and vetting products for our little babe has truthfully been more overwhelming than growing and nourishing him – the world wide web and stores alike filled with seemingly endless oceans of products, must haves, opinions, and reviews. Having access to such a well curated selection of local and nationally available vendors, providing the opportunity to experience their product first hand, was reassuring – validating registry picks and deemed ‘necessities’. A snippet of the multitude of options available, below you’ll find my top MommyCon picks, baby product favorites including carriers, swaddles, diapers, and breast pumps, that have made their ways into my little home.
