The #GoddessVibes // Curator Series promises a carefully selected collection of unbeaten paths, workouts, companies, recipes, colors, and ‘must haves’ to inspire, impassion, and expand our worlds on a daily basis. Founded in April, 2014 on the premise of unconditional self-love, positive thinking, and holistic and natural living-the goal has not only been to spread the vibes around the world-through Instagram snapshots of my life and this curation, highlighting those that truly live up to these values-but, I suppose most pertinently, use this mantra to make vibrant, high quality, and delicious plant-based food nationally (internationally) accessible. Real, unprocessed food is a powerful entity- reducing our risk of ever developing chronic disease and has been shown to holistically treat and reverse the conditions of those suffering. You are, after all, what you eat.
/ two hands: with a a sunny disposition so genuine it could disarm the most brusque New Yorker, two hands, an Australian owned and operated dynamic coffee shop and cafe in the heart of New York’s Little Italy, offers all day ‘brekkie’, ‘flat whites’, and the most simple, yet transcendent smashed avocado toast around. With a robust selection of coffees, divinely laid back buildout and attitude, vivid smoothie bowls, and thick [THICK] slices of toast, I’m absolutely smitten.
/ rawxies: perfect for the health conscious with a sweet tooth, rawxies’s raw rolled oat, date, and nut based cookies are chewy, decadent, and nourishing. Think- sinfully chocolatey mint chocolate chip with wildcrafted vanilla and chunky cacao chips, banana nut bread, and mocha almond. Every ingredient has nutritional value making these raw cookies a perfect anytime snack, post-workout recovery bite, or breakfast accompaniment. Conveniently packaged for on-the-go indulgence, I serve mine with a piping hot mug of black coffee.
/ Steve’s Ice Cream: the creamiest, silkiest coconut based ice cream on the shelf [in my opinion], Steve’s Ice Cream- a Brooklyn, NY based small batch parlor- has truly taken dairy-free ice cream to the next level. Their creations have drool worthy names and organic ingredients- think: cold-brew cinnamon coffee with bourbon vanilla extract, carrot habanero pepper, and dark chocolate salty caramel- 100% worth the indulgence.
/ Emmy’s Organics: inspired by simple, clean, and natural ingredients, Emmy’s Organic’s raw, sprouted Buckwheat Super Cereals are not only a complete source of protein and high in dietary fiber and iron, but the perfect naturally sweet and delightfully crunchy granola alternative to top any morning smoothie bowl. With warming flavors like- apricot vanilla, blueberry cashew, and cacao coconut with dried coconut, raw unpasteurized almonds and rich raw cacao nibs- Emmy’s is my breakfast ‘must have’.
/ yoga inversions: for those following my personal journey with yoga and intention setting- most specifically my self guided focus of the beauty, positivity, and inspiration found within myself and in every moment- practice is going pretty, pretty well. What’s been most interesting, most intense, is this dramatic shift in my perception and self-awareness. Pride that I’ve been present, following through, that despite exhaustion, anxiety, occasional feelings of defeat- I’ve ended up on my yoga mat. Although every conscious movement is a gift, I continue to find yoga inversions leave me in awe- like those who can head stand are in this magical and transcendent world of yoga greatness. Never stop moving.
