I’ve FINALLY got my hands on a popsicle mold.
Today I am so excited to share my first pop recipe off the line: Banana Chocolate Protein Pops, a fudgy bar made with creamy almond butter, indulgent cinnamon, and an incredible balance of carbohydrates and protein to get you back on your feet and in top shape after a long (and HOT) workout. I love keeping a batch in my freezer and grabbing one the second I’m home from a summer run or more strenuous yoga class. Carbs and protein are essential for optimally refueling and repairing muscles and helping combat that pesky muscle soreness- why not in popsicle form?
Banana Chocolate Protein Pops [makes 6 popsicles]
2 large ripe bananas
2 tablespoons peanut or almond butter
¼ cup chocolate protein powder // I used Vega Protein, Choc-A-Alot
1 cup almond milk
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Using a high speed blender, blend bananas, nut butter, protein, almond milk, and cinnamon until well combined.
Pour mixture into popsicle molds with popsicle sticks; place mold in freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours-overnight. Enjoy!
